This exercise started out as a square and a circle. I used the pen tool to draw the shapes and then I filled each with a different gradient. The drop shadows were done in a separate layer and are filled with a gradient form gray to white. The image below is a jpg file exported from Flash as a comparison. The Flash file (above) is a vector graphic (414 bytes) and the jpg file is a bitmap (3,428 bytes).
